IN CLASS: Icebreakers Part 3: Memory Palace Name Game

The memory palace technique is a memory enhancement method wherein the subject uses visualizations in their minds eye to associate information with familiar information about a well known location. The memory palace technique is also known as the memory journey, mind palace technique, or the method of loci. (Loci is Latin for "places.") The strategy does not necessarily have to involve a physical location, although this is its most commonly taught form. By placing information in imagined locations along an imagined journey the memorizer is able to use chunking to improve recall. We will try to use this technique to learn everyone's names.
